In the past two days, I published a post exposing OKX, unexpectedly gaining over a thousand new followers. Taking this opportunity, I would like to share some personal stock investment experiences. Firstly, I adhere to a long-term investment strategy, as short-term market fluctuations are full of uncertainties.
Last year, my stock investments were mainly focused on Xiaomi, with a comprehensive return rate close to double. Although this is not comparable to the returns from leveraged trading in the cryptocurrency space, it is more stable for larger capital. Part of it was purchased through the Futu platform, while the other part was traded through the domestic Hong Kong Stock Connect channel.
The Logic Behind Investing in Xiaomi#
The reasons I chose to invest in Xiaomi include the following points:
- Xiaomi has a unique advantage in its ecosystem in smart home, automotive, and other fields, with few companies both domestically and globally covering such a wide range of categories. Most households have Xiaomi products to some extent.
- Xiaomi's automotive division will become the core driver of future performance growth. I believe Xiaomi has the potential to become the Chinese version of Samsung, transforming from a mobile phone manufacturer into an industrial giant, with very strong integration capabilities in both hardware and software.
The Logic Behind Investing in JD.com#
Next, I plan to allocate part of my investment position in JD.com for the following reasons:
- JD.com is about to issue a stablecoin, and I am optimistic about this. Analyzing Liu Qiangdong's personal background, he comes from a programming background and has a deep understanding of blockchain technology, along with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. A company needs a core figure to lead the overall direction; otherwise, the board may only focus on short-term profits rather than long-term development. Although the first batch of licenses includes Alibaba, JD.com, and several banks, the biggest application scenario for Hong Kong stablecoins lies in cross-border trade and retail payments, where Alibaba and JD.com have rich experience (Alibaba is also worth considering).
- Currently, JD.com's price-to-earnings ratio is only around 8.
- If JD.com's delivery and retail business succeeds, the market potential is enormous.
